Fragrance of Spring

There is nothing so wonderful as walking on a warm spring day. The air is layered with the delicate purple scent of lilacs.

The lilacs are blooming now. There are great purple bunches of these delectable fragrant flowers everywhere. These lovely flowers bring Spring by perfuming the very air we breathe. One can almost taste their aroma. Ah, Spring!

Lilacs here won't bloom for another 2-3 weeks at least. Usually they are at peak for Memorial Day. Lovely photo! Thanks for the preview of things to come here at home!

Remember the huge lilac tree at Grammie's house? We used to come home laden with blooms ... and the house smelled wonderful for weeks. Beautiful photo ... can't wait to smell, er, find some of those myself.

Lilacs, so transitory here. Only last about a week, maybe a week and a half, and yet we look forward to them for months. Still looking forward. Maybe another month.
