Let the Wind Blow

Located in Stevenson, Washington, this unexpectedly beautiful metal and glass sculpture moves when the wind blows.

In subtle summer breezes, the sculpture gently whirls in graceful complicated obits.
But in stormy weather this sculpture is truly a terrifying thing to behold. Colorful wheels and whirls slip and slide, twirl and dizzying fling.

I love the wind. I love the way the wind intertwines with this unique sculpture.

What a wonderful wind sculpture for the Columbia Gorge! I'll have to look it up the next time I go through Stevenson.

Great piece! You don't know who made it, do you? Is it on public land?

I was thinking I wouldn't want to stand under it in a good wind! Yikes!
I'm glad you showed the close up. I love the complexity of it, and yet the simplicity in parts. Things can be like that sometimes, can't they?
