Fairy's Lace

In early June, my husband and I drove through Oregon's spectacular Columbia Gorge. We crossed the Bridge of the Gods to the Washington side. On our way back home we stopped to watch the restless waters and wander through Stevenson's lush wonderland parks.
.
Though it was late in the season I found Fairy's Lace in full bloom. This delightful native bush flowers in early spring. As a child I looked forward to signs of spring after the long dreary winter. Violets, May flowers, Johnny Jumpups and Faery's lace were heralds of warmer days to come.
.
One can see why faeries might want to wear these delicate flowerings as lace.

I love fairy's lace too. It looks like the forest is dressing up for a fine summer when they are blooming.

I hope you have a nice winter. The Fairy Lace is nice though I have never seen it before today.

That's a beautiful natural flower arrangement. This year I got to walk across the Bridge of the Gods. Its part of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. It felt good to transition from one State to another State of Being.

Beautiful, Sissy Bee but you guys have all the cool flora up there. Here I am stuck here on the edge of heaven with tumble weeds and sagebrush. Fairy lace is so pretty!
How are you doing up there, I sure hope everything is going okay. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
