Shroooomzzzzz!

I remember this walk well--Clytie and I were astounded at all the varied mushrooms we found, including this cluster of shrooms . . .

This frilled skirted shroom . . .

And three shrooms all in a row!
.
It is time to step through the mystery of the woods to discover anew the strength and beauty both of us find there. I can hardly wait to go on our next walk in the forest together! I wonder what amazing things we will find???

I have not seen any of these or anything like them since I can't remember when. We, Patty and me, did see some round mushrooms that looked like somebody painted a lot of bowling balls white. We had never seen anything like those either. They were all graduating in size from very large to very small, perfectly white and round, and obviously were growing from a tree root that was winding around the park soil.

I went to the doctor. No new medicine. No new anything. I did go get a chest x-ray. Just in case. But basically I am an old man with emphysema and asthma and when I get a cold, not infected, by the way, then when I cough I sound like a 75 year old man with emphysema. I am now concentrating on taking sudofed to dry up my nose.

Walking in the woods is one of my favorite things to do. The beauty there is always amazing. It helps me put any troubles I have in perspective,.. and I have been know to actually hug a pine tree!

I can't wait for a long walk in the woods either, sissie.

I have to laugh at Cedar's comment though ... when we moved back to Oregon after nearly 20 years away, we pulled over at the first rest area, ran up to the nearest tree, and gave it a great big group hug!!!

i love mushrooms - maybe because I/we have a friend in South East Germany who has a (real) certificate in advising people about which mushrooms are edible -the know 200 kinds of mushrooms. Interesting huh?
I'll have to look up that photo where he found a mushroom as big as his hand.

I love the color of those mushrooms in the first picture! I like to walk in the woods too, especially when it's cold.
