Backyard Hummer

There are scads of these tiny birds zipping in and about in our backyard.  They are a never-ending source of amazement and amusement.  I was barely able to capture this one little lady hummer as she ate from the feeder.  What a darling little bird.  Here she is bobbing up to watch us in between eating.

Lucky you, we don't have them here... First time I saw one flying so quickly I thought it was a big bee! :-))) Lovely shot!

Such a dainty little lady, so pretty. Don't you love it when they swoop and dive, it scares me thinking surely they will crash and knock themselves silly. So far so good, it just looks like they are having a good time.

I don't quite understand how so fast and how so accurate. I'm just learning how to slow down!

This one is gorgeous. Mine are still made for removing my feeder two years ago.

How wonderful that you can see and encounter these tiny gems life in your own garden! I love this heartwarming photo - she looks adorable ! I have never seen a Hummingbird myself - in Germany there are none, of course ! Much too cold.

You caught here while she's not moving!! That itself is great, because they are so fast!
