Heart of Vine - Guest Heart Thursday

An errant grape vine crept over the fence to clasp the twine I'd strung up for the tomatoes!  What I saw was a perfectly beautiful heart!

Ghost Kitty

Look who I caught floating across the dining room floor?  Yep, it's Bootz, in her sneaky, ghostly mode--chasing after a bit of feather.

Heart felt Paws - Guest Heart Thursday

This is our darling little Boots--do you see the heart in her paw?  She has been a gift to my husband and me.  She delights us with her whimsical nature and funny mischief making!  What fun to hear her calumping across the floor playing with paper she's stolen from my office.  Tch tch tch!  She's very smart--she's even learned to open cupboards and doors!  She keeps us on our toes and we love her for it.

Heart of a Child

When my darling little niece offered me this lovely flower I didn't notice at first it was in the shape of a heart.  Sissy, of course, was the one who noticed first.

It is the Heart of a Child--fragrant, beautiful and a bit of whimsey.

Reflections of My Love - Weekend Reflections

Out in the garden, I happened to capture my Darling, reflected in one of the sparkle danglies in the trees.  A handsome fellow, isn't he?  You can see the porthole in the trees to the right of the bird house--that is where the faeries come through to visit now and then.

I know, I know--I have a GREAT imagination!

But can you blame me?  Here is the porthole up close.  (grin)

Heart in Nut - Guest Heart Thursday

The black walnuts haven't begun their fall ploppings--though the squirrels are going nuts carrying them to and fro.  With their bright green coverings, they are quite large.  It is hard to see how the squirrels are able to carry the walnuts in their teeth the way they do!

Every year I pull up myriads of small trees, left from where the squirrels hid them for winter.  Yes, they do hide them just the way the books say.

As you see, here is a half shell--with a perfect heart--one of the small black walnuts one can find within the larger covering.

Reflective Bowl - Weekend Reflections

I was visiting my parents a few weeks ago, when I was caught by the beauteous colors reflected on the side of this metal bowl.  They were barbecuing ribs outside, as I recall.  The bowl was filled with BBQ sauce.

The photo is mesmerizing to be sure--but I have to say in addition, dinner was marvelous!

Thunder Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

I drove to the store yesterday afternoon.  Jumped out of the car--I was in a hurry--and was stunned to see a huge boiling of clouds towering over the hills.  I gasped and grabbed my ever-present camera, as I saw this amazing two-toned heart.  A few moments later it was gone.

I am sure this was the grand heart of a Thunderstorm--a Thunder Heart.
