Broken Limb Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

You just never know where a heart will show up.  This one was a surprise to me.  There is a poignant lesson here--life often deals us brokenness as we walk our path.  It amazes me how many times something just awful turns into scars of beauty.

Rainbow Face - Sky Challenge

I was outside working in the garden when I saw this rainbow face in the skies over the back fence.  I'm so glad I had my camera close by.  Can  you see the face?

Here is a closeup!  'Tis an old fellow with a hook nose and a beard.

Perhaps you'll join us at Random Challenges?  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find something in the clouds!  This is my entry to the sky challenge at Random Challenges!

Basket Weave Glass

Last week, Sissy and I went on a wonderfully long walk.  We wandered through The Abandoned, then traipsed into the surrounding woodlands.  Nearby there is an old dump from the now defunct Dammasch State Hospital.  The refuse was burned then discarded there.  One can find old spoons, tiny glass bottles, melted glass and a myriad of interesting treasures.  The picture above is a bit of old broken glass--glorified by a stray ray of sunshine.

Clytie and I both found the super Macro settings on our cameras that afternoon--it was as though we both were using brand new cameras!  which made it so hard to start walking back home

In a Dragon's Eye - Weekend Reflections

Have you ever seen an eye so green?  This is my Sister's wonderful kitty, MikaMia--who was watching me from her "mother's" arms--upside down.  This is probably the only time I'll ever see my reflection In a Dragon's Eye.

Clytie says Mika has dragon's eyes.    As you can see above--it's true.  MikaMia has Dragon's eyes.

For more wonderful reflections from around the world, be sure to visit James at Weekend Reflections.

Owl Looking at Me - Guest Heart Thursday

Sissy and I were walking in The Abandoned when we were startled by the flight of a Great Horned Owl.  He perched upon a tree just within sight--He watched as I took this amazing photo.  You are probably wondering where the hearts are?  They are in the tangle of branches -- can you find them?
