Lichen That Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

I often go on heart hunts with my darling little nice.  On our way back from a small park near our home, she spotted this one on the sidewalk.

"Auntie Bee!" She shouted, pointing merrily to the soaked sidewalk, while dancing on the tips of her toes.  "It's a heart for Auntie Honey!"

Indeed--this bit of grey green lichen is a perfectly shaped heart!  And just in time for Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I was momentarily transported to The Andy Griffith Show with the reference to Aunt Bee (though I probably just dreamed the whole series, the whole epoch.) But I didn't dream the lovely white florets fortuitously strewn on the pavement.

Happy Valentine's Day, dear sister.

You and "Honey Heart" brought tears to my eyes! I love thinking of you and our darling niece prancing around the park, finding beautiful hearts to share! Thank you, sissie!
