Queen Anne's Lace -Guest Heart Thursday

This is actually a Queen Anne's Lace about to bloom.  This picture fascinated me, because of the tracery of green silver leaf beneath the flower. Something about it, just fills my eyes.  The actual flower turned out to be bigger than my hand.  When I visit there next, I shall try to get a photo of the same flower.  It is HUGE.

There are many hearts in this photo--can you find them all?  I love their delicate line.  Have a lovely day!

Cedar Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

On our walk to Pioneer Park, my darling little niece found this wonderful little heart--for "Auntie Honey," she said.  I thought this heart was magical!

Especially when we found this nest--which, if you look closely is a heart.

What joy!  To be twirling in the water at river's edge with my darling girl.  It is no wonder hearts appear when my sweet girl is near.

Have a lovely day, everyone!

Mock Orange Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

One of the things I adore about the hedge next door are these amazing mock orange blossoms--at least that is what I THINK they are!  They are such a graceful flower, fragrant and lovely in the wind as it blows.

Song Birds and Daisies

This tiny house wren sang his little heart out for us...there's something so sweet about the song a bird sings in the morning--it is our Creator's song of hope, of peace...

I took this picture while on a walk early this morning.  There's something so cheerful about daisies, don't you think?

If I were a faery--this is the view I might have seen...such lovely white shadows on beautiful pale blossoms...

My New Camera

I was devastated when my wonderful camera stopped working.  Thank the Lord, I was able to get it replaced through manufacturer's warranty.  The Canon I had wasn't available and the only one with comparable features was Sony's Cybershot. The above is my first attempt at a closeup.  These are strawberry blossoms!

I experimented with our lovely antique windows.

And the rose on the edge in my garden.

The fireworks on the river were amazing.

I've learned so much about my camera--but it is obvious I have a LOT more to learn!

Firework Hearts - Guest Heart Thursday

In our town of Independence, we celebrate the Fourth of July in a big way.  We look forward to the Fourth almost as much as Thanksgiving, or Christmas.  This year my sweet Sister Clytie couldn't come because she was feeling ill.

So I watched for hearts to send back to Sissie, since she could not be with us in person.

My favorite is the one above.

This white sparkling heart shot over the river with its fabulous tail.

This incredibly colored heart happened quite by accident.

Do you see the giant red heart splashed across the sky?

There's a little puffy smoke heart flying in the midst of these little sparklies.

There's a heart to be seen in the middle of this beauty.

I love the glorious exploding heart at the center of this one.

Here is the last heart--do you see it?  It's a puffy blue bit of smoke.

I missed you, Sissyboo--I hope you enjoyed these hearts I found for you.  ((hugs))
