Grandma's Hands -Guest Heart Thursday

I found a rock heart and brought it to my darling little Gramma Gladys.  Her hands are so beautiful to me.  She has had such an impact on my life and my family.  I have known her for 32 years.  Wise and wonderful--with an infinite source of stories (all told with a New York Accent) and plum full of love--that is Gramma.

She reminds me of a little gnome--all bent over with her hair in a nimbus of white.  She is only a month older than Dad and every time I see her she is a bit more fragile.

Aren't her hands beautiful?  Those hands have taught children how to cook and sew and wiped away the tears of so many little ones.  She is amazing--If she could have patented all the things she invented to make life easier, she'd be a millionaire!

I remember when my children had chicken pox.  My husband and I had to be away, so she tucked them into her living room and cared for them until we returned.  That was what Grandma did.  As a young Mom with three bouncing children under the age of six, she often came to my rescue.  Her wise words and friendship meant the world to me.  I am SO blessed to have Grandma as my dear Friend.

Her legacy is one of love--she has captured all of our hearts with her beauty and tenderness...not to mention a generous smattering of common sense and humor.  I love her so much I wanted to share her with you.

Have a lovely day, everyone!

What a beautiful soul she is. I do love the pic of her hands. Old hands remind me of wisdom, life experience and love.

How lucky you are to have each other.
