One evening around sunset last week I was in my office, working away. I glanced out the window and noticed a peculiar golden light covering the ground and trees. Taking a well-deserved break, I grabbed my camera and ran for the kitchen door.
I gasped, skidded to a stop, gasped again. The stormy clouds over my neighbor's gorgeous home looked like they were on fire. I've never seen anything like it.
Needless to say I clicked hundreds of pictures -- this was one of the best. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed clouds could look this way.

It does indeed look as if the sky is on fire! that is amazing!
Luckily you took notice of the sky or you might have missed it.
You are right, that's the first thing that came to mind: a fire! But then I thought - the sky is on fire, but the house is not:)
Breath taking and mesmerizing, Beth!
Great capture. They really do look like they're on fire, that occasionally happens around here at sunrise when they are illuminated from below.
That is absolutely amazing! Great catch!
This is like fire falling from the sky! Stunning!
Great photo, Beth. One of your best.
Thank you for thinking about me and Angelina. We are fine. It was just a messy storm (and my 4 pound pup loved every minute of it: how brave for such a little one!)
