A Heart for Children -Guest Heart Thursday

I was at Mumsie's helping out, when she sent Sissy and me out for pizza.  I have so much fun with my darling Sis--we saw these hearts, and in honor of GHT's heart challenge, we bought these.

God bless those dear little children who struggle to recover from cancer at such a young age, and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Mossy Forest -Guest Heart Thursday

This is a picture of the woods in winter.  Here in Oregon, up until January, the rains have soaked the ground and forests causing a huge amount of moss to grow.  It grows on everything.  Can you see the outline of a heart here?  I just love the woodlands here.

Purple Beauty

These purple beauties bloom in Fall.  I love to see their vibrant colors bouncing in the breezes which frequent my garden.

And, because of that luscious color, I get a bit homesick for Spring, though these are some of the flowers of Fall.

Basted Turkey Heart -Guest Heart Thursday

 We spent Christmas Day with Mom, Sissy and family.  What fun we had.  Sissy was in basting the turkey when she started to giggle.  

Yep, you guessed it--she basted a heart onto that turkey.

Above is a closeup of Sissy's basted turkey heart!  I must say--that turkey was SCRUMPTIOUS!

Heart of the Woods -Guest Heart Thursday

A sweet young friend of mine sent the following quote by Patience Strong.  This is how I feel about the forest of my childhood.  There are other places which have the same amazing feeling to them.  I wanted to share this quote with you.
