Last summer on a walk with my Friend Lynn, we found this unexpected bed of gorgeous flowers tucked away near the wild forest streams. The colors were so vibrant and filled my eyes so vastly I had to share their beauty with you on this grey cold day.
Here you see the beauty of metal. I found this delicate metalic flower on the side of an ancient steam engine. The way the light, shadow and color play through the intricate flow of traceries and patterns is fascinating. Utterly lovely, don't you think?
I found this gorgeous grouping of sunny yellow while walking with my sister through the grounds of the abandoned mega-church. It is so strange to view the destruction wrought here--and then to find this surprising mid-summer splash of color.
These are curry blossoms from my garden. The incredible beautiful detail of these blooms is rather astounding. Their leaves and stems remind me of lavender and Rosemary bushes. 
In the aftermath of the storm, I caught these purple beauties tremulously peeking up from the flowerbed. They seemed to ask, "is it all over?"
There is something so precious about true friendship. I found these two lovelies in my garden, chatting away in the early morning sun. It is obvious they are best buds. If they were human, they'd be sitting outside a country coffeeshop laughing together over a steaming cup of coffee.
There is nothing so wonderful as walking on a warm spring day. The air is layered with the delicate purple scent of lilacs. 
Honey bees are tiny heralds of spring. With their cheery hum, and gentle disposition, they bring with them a sense of contentment. This good-natured little fellow let me follow him around the tree clicking photos as I went. (grin) He was a little frustrated with me by the time I caught this lovely picture of him. He was never mean, did not try to sting me, and kept on working.
I was working in my garden when I thought I heard the faint sound of giggling somewhere near the foot of the old treehouse. Searching the flowerbeds, I discovered these two mischievous violets grinning up at me. They'd laughed themselves pink in the face. (Grin)
Here is the fragrant blossom of Rosemary. These delicate blooms are good in salads and a real treat when sprinkled on buttered toast. This wonderful herb delights not only our sense of taste, but is easy on the eye with it's own special brand of beauty.
