Happy Pansy Smile
Isn't this an unusual picture? I took it sometime last Summer. I'm intrigued by the leaves of the pansy--they don't look like regular pansy leaves. I don't remember staging this, so here you are.
It is summer now. Today it will be 100 degrees. I loved this pansy because of its bright smile. Here the flower grows, thriving in the midst of fallen leaves and dried rose petals.
Hope amidst beautiful memories.
Have a lovely weekend, dear Friends. You are in my prayers always.

Exquisite Flower Heart -Guest Heart Thursday
On a recent trip to the Columbia Gorge, I went for a hike with my sis-in-law, niece and nephew. What a delightful time we had. One of my favorite places was the secret cave the kids showed me--so skillfully set into the side of the rocky hillside. This is where I found this magical heart flower.
It was perfect for today's Guest Heart Thursday!

Purple Beauty
These purple beauties bloom in Fall. I love to see their vibrant colors bouncing in the breezes which frequent my garden.
And, because of that luscious color, I get a bit homesick for Spring, though these are some of the flowers of Fall.
Have a lovely weekend, dear Friends!

Heart of Golden Rose -Guest Heart Thursday
You can see several lovely hearts in the middle of this beautiful golden-hearted rose. I clicked this beauty on one of my morning walks last Spring. The sunshine made it glow.
I have a chance to win a small original painting of my own dear Polydactyl Cat by one of my all-time favorite artists. If you'd like to vote for Toez, visit Sandrine's Gallery. Happy Guest Heart Thursday everyone!

Bedraggled Beauty - Guest Heart Thursday
I'm not quite sure what flower this is--but was unexpectedly startled by this dark purplish heart. It was a flower standing all alone in my garden--one I hadn't noticed before. This beautiful bedraggled heart is wonderfully complimented by the muted colors caught in the background.
An unexpectedly lovely heart, just perfect for Guest Heart Thursday.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Heart of a Child
When my darling little niece offered me this lovely flower I didn't notice at first it was in the shape of a heart. Sissy, of course, was the one who noticed first.
It is the Heart of a Child--fragrant, beautiful and a bit of whimsey.

Gold of Shadow - Shadow Shot Sunday
This lovely flower is one of the many varieties of domesticated blooms which can be found growing wildly in the grounds of the abandoned mega church. The gold of shadow, of fragrant flower quite caught my eye.

Bluebells in my Garden
I have never seen such plush color or formation of Bluebells in my Garden before. The flower faeries have been extra busy this Spring.
Their blooms are nearly gone now, but when they were in full blossoming, I was sure I heard the winged folk playing their whimsical tunes in the rain.

Lily of the Valley
When I find the fragrant Lily of the Valley carpeting the ground around the pond, I am enraptured. The beauty of this exquisite plant with its white blossomy bells smites my consciousness.
It is no wonder the song-writer wrote, He's the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star. He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
Have a perfectly lovely day!

Fragrance of Spring
The lilacs are blooming now. There are great purple bunches of these delectable fragrant flowers everywhere. These lovely flowers bring Spring by perfuming the very air we breathe. One can almost taste their aroma. Ah, Spring!

Bee Pretty in Pink
.
What a happy industrious little insect. I imagine I would be happy too, if I were a bee, loaded with purpose, lost in all that pink fragrant blossoming--even with a crazy human following along with that gigantic black eye, clicking and buzzing...indeed, I would be happy.

It is Rosemary
Rosemary flowers and leaves are wonderful in salads, on toast and a marvelous addition to soups, and roasts, not to mention a little kick if you like humus.
