Leaves and Bees -Guest Heart Thursday
I was on my way home from the Historical Preservation Commission meeting, when my fellow commissioner and I noticed a ball of honey bees in a tree in the parking lot. They were swarming, and a bee keeper was on his way. I took some very interesting pictures.
Yes, there is a heart in this photo--its sides are kind of pointy--but it is a heart just the same!

Be on Thyme
He didn't seem to mind as I took his picture--in fact, I am sure the little fellow wiggled-waved a friendly antennae at me. As the sun finally touched and warmed his chill, he stretched his wings, smiled a wee bee grin and gracefully flew away, but not before circling my head a time or two.
A side note: Awhile back I posted a photo of flowers I thought were thyme. However since then I have discovered those blossoms were actually rosemary! Rosemary is delicious in salads and soups, and the leaves and flowers make a tasteful garnish for roasts and hamburger.

Bee Pretty in Pink
.
What a happy industrious little insect. I imagine I would be happy too, if I were a bee, loaded with purpose, lost in all that pink fragrant blossoming--even with a crazy human following along with that gigantic black eye, clicking and buzzing...indeed, I would be happy.

Bee on Bluebell
I love bluebells. Already they are begining to show themselves in my garden, along with the purple and pink crocus. I have always loved bluebells. I am sure the faeries in my garden play music on them when I'm not looking. I enjoy the honey bees humming along. Here I caught the honey bee--but not the fairy!
