I found this gorgeous grouping of sunny yellow while walking with my sister through the grounds of the abandoned mega-church. It is so strange to view the destruction wrought here--and then to find this surprising mid-summer splash of color.
Unexpected beauty.

These seem to be happy-go-lucky.
Oh my goodness - I took a similar pic just this afternoon!! I love those black-eyed susans or rudibecia or whatever they are. Just so cheerful!
What a beautiful blooming flowers !
WIsh you have a nice day too :)
beauty is there for those who care to seek it!
Beauty is there if we but only look. You, your sister, and I have a feeling the rest of your family, have a way of looking beyond the destruction, hardships, bleakness of/in life to find the Simple beauty that is there in front of us if we but only open our eyes and truly See.
you are one of God's beauty... Thank you for sharing your sight with us. Love and Light, Nina P
Beautiful catch, sissie. I don't know their "real" names, and probably couldn't pronounce the latin anyway. Given their location and surroundings, I think I will call them "Yellow Phoenix Flowers".
