The Definition of Cute!

We had a big shindig here over the Fourth of July.  Our friends brought one of those mist hoses--which is what this tiny darlin' is holding in her hand.  It was a hot day, so she really enjoyed the fine spray drifting down.

This little one has the most wonderful grin.  Seeing her makes me smile--and, I hope you will smile, too.

Have a lovely day.

Little Heart Hunter -Guest Heart Thursday

What fun to explore the creek with a tiny heart hunter.

Do you see the heart in the creek?

I bet you can now.

As we walked through the parking lot, my little heart hunter danced on her toes and said, "There's another heart for Auntie Honey!"

Have a beautiful day everyone.

Heart of a Child

When my darling little niece offered me this lovely flower I didn't notice at first it was in the shape of a heart.  Sissy, of course, was the one who noticed first.

It is the Heart of a Child--fragrant, beautiful and a bit of whimsey.

Little Adventurer

Here is my tiny partner in adventure! The picture was taken last summer during one of our great explorations. (grin) When my darling girl comes to visit, we color, we play, we walk, we swing, we look at birds and flowers, we visit the river and explore. I love being her "Auntie Bee." What a wonderful, fabulous privilege to be a part of this precious little person's life!

Just Like the Big Boys

Waiting for the fireworks was great fun, and I happened to capture this darling photo of the little guy who wanted so to be like the big boys.

How Did You Say to Throw It?

Yesterday, down at the river bank, I was teaching my tiny niece how to throw rocks into the water underhanded. WOW! What an arm she has!
.
In this shot, her face shows her level of concentration as she was learning how to throw the rock using sound. "Whouaah!" we'd yell, as we threw rocks into the river. Then we would giggle together to hear the waters splash. The river was laughing back, you see.
.
What a great lesson to learn--it is the simple things in life which give the most enjoyment, and make living worth while.
