Sap Flow
When I walk the forests of my childhood, I often see where the sap has run out of the tree. We call it pitch. The sap can trap insects, bubbles and reflect the colors of the forest. It is often beautiful, as you can see.
Here is a photo of how the sap trails down trunk of this old fir. It usually means the tree has been damaged in some way and the sap comes to the surface to heal the place which is damaged.

So messy and beautiful - so much like life. Gorgeous photos, my friend.
