Good Bye Dear Bootz

Our precious Bootz flew away to Cat Heaven yesterday morning.  She seemed to be under the weather so I took her to the vet.  X-rays revealed our darling girl had an enlarged heart and a collapsed lung--with only hours left to live.  The Vet said she either contracted a virus, or cancer which had been coming on for some time.  Thankfully, up until yesterday morning, Bootz had no symptoms of pain or discomfort, whatsoever.

This morning in the twilight of sleep, I felt her snuggled against my side--I felt the warmth and the weight of her body there.  But as I awoke, I realized once again, our small companion has gone.  Our hearts are broken, but how grateful we are to have known her these six months.

Office Cat

Here is Bootz the Cat sitting on my office desk.  She loves to watch squirrels and birds from there.  Bootz is a Ragdoll.  She's HUGE!  We are so fortunate to have found her.  She fills our home with laughter and fun.

Heart felt Paws - Guest Heart Thursday

This is our darling little Boots--do you see the heart in her paw?  She has been a gift to my husband and me.  She delights us with her whimsical nature and funny mischief making!  What fun to hear her calumping across the floor playing with paper she's stolen from my office.  Tch tch tch!  She's very smart--she's even learned to open cupboards and doors!  She keeps us on our toes and we love her for it.

Contentment

I was cleaning the closet upstairs, where this large stuffed pup had been hiding.  I keep him around for my darling niece when she comes.  I put him out of the way in the middle of the braided rug in my office--and there he stayed for a few days.

What is so cute is Bootz, who sports the same color fur, has decided the dog is hers.  When I'm working in the office she sleeps cuddled next to him, sprawls over him and even snoozes between those paws under that dog's hairy chin.

Sneaking around to get a closeup of this darling duo, Bootz rolled over and yawned into the camera--a wonderful expression of pure Contentment.

I guess I'll be keeping that humongous dog just where he is for now.
