Hummer

About 15 minutes ago, I ran outside with my camera to catch some wonderfully shaped clouds floating across the skies.

Then I heard quite a racket. My tiny hummer friend was chatting up a storm--he flew within a few feet of me--then out over the fenceline into the sunlight. What lovely flashes of green! I chattered and chirped back at him, whereapon he flew to the feeder and actually sat to eat with his wings folded.

After slurping his fill, he buzzed in front of my nose, then took his seat on a nearby branch, where I was able to click this picture of him. As you can see, he's quite the chatterbox. What a dear little fellow he is!

Lucky you! Hummingbirds and Blue Angels are just too fast for me to get a proper photo.

He is adorable! I'm just about to put out my hummingbird feeders again for the spring. I saw my first robin this morning so I know that spring will arrive soon!

We don't see Hummer here until early April. Right now they would freeze into little popcicles so I'm glad to wait until spring. Your little friend sounds quite the social visitor. What fun.

You are one lucky person to have them hang around all the time. We get sneaks and peeks at them flying in and around and back out again when they come to eat but they never hang around our place. So lucky you.

Cool pic! And lucky you to have hummers so early. Well, maybe not early where you are, but we won't see any until May.
