Shadow of Leaf Glow - Shadow Shot Sunday
This summer while visiting my parents, I noticed the delicate green of grape leaf glowing through the shadow of the dense overhead foliage. Something about the contrast of fir needles and fragile leaves caught my eye. Of course, I ran for my camera to capture this interesting shadow shot.

Lovely Lady - Weekend Reflections
A reflection from the past? Perhaps? Yet perhaps not! Can you see her? Early one morning I caught our own darling Mumsie gazing from the windows of the home where I grew up--with that smile of hers. What a lovely lady she is! The lace, the rough boards combined with the reflection of the trees and Mom's smile made a beautiful picture--perfect for Weekend Reflections!

Suspended - Weekend Reflections
Monday afternoon my husband and I stopped at the Baskett Slough Bird Sanctuary. We drove down the gravel road extending through the waters to the middle, where there is a viewpoint. It was a perfect day, warm with a slight breeze whiffling the waters.
There are few moments one can capture exactly -- this is one of them. The clouds, reflecting in the waters had a sort of magic about them. Suspended so perfectly there.

Smiling Heart Rose - Guest Heart Thursday
I love roses! The pink bush out front has the most fragrant blooms--this rose was grinning and giggling at me as I passed by, so I took her picture. Can you see her smiling? Isn't she a sweet peach of a heart? lol

A Heart for Breakfast - Guest Heart Thursday
I'd say this photo is exactly perfect for Guest Heart Thursday. I just love the colors--and my mouth is starting to water. Mmmmm...I think I'm hungry--I'm going to go make something for breakfast now...

The Sky is on Fire!
One evening around sunset last week I was in my office, working away. I glanced out the window and noticed a peculiar golden light covering the ground and trees. Taking a well-deserved break, I grabbed my camera and ran for the kitchen door.
I gasped, skidded to a stop, gasped again. The stormy clouds over my neighbor's gorgeous home looked like they were on fire. I've never seen anything like it.
Needless to say I clicked hundreds of pictures -- this was one of the best. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed clouds could look this way.

Heart in Stump - Guest Heart Thursday
I was walking to my cabin when I spotted this lovely Heart in Stump just to the right of the little front porch. The colors and placing of the pine needles and oak tree leaf made it all the more interesting.
