Thanksgiving Greetings

Happy Thanksgiving!  This is my dear little cat, Toez.  She sends her Thanksgiving Greetings along with mine.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I had a houseful, siblings, nieces, nephew, Grandma and friends.  It was a blast!  I watched the five cousins get re-acquainted.  They helped to decorate the Christmas tree the day before.

Thanksgiving itself was a blessed wonderful warm event.  The cousins ranging from age 11-33 played Hide and go Seek for over four hours.  They had a blast.  Mumsie and I had great fun watching their antics.

They are all musical, so there was music everywhere.  Uke, guitar, piano, drums, base recorder, flutes--all were in use.  We sang together--and Oh, it sounded beautiful.

I love my family and am grateful to God for all of them.  I can hardly wait for next year.  If a person could have a favorite holiday--Thanksgiving is it for me!

May blessing and peace be yours this Holiday season.

It is a Lazy Morning...

Being a kitten is exhausting.  Mr. Snowboots has been a delightful addition to our little family.  He keeps both Toez and I on our, er, toes.  Tiring work for the little fellow--as you can see.  (grin)  He sure is getting big!

Have a lovely week, sweet Friends.

The Eye of the Cat

Toez the Polydactyl Cat was sitting in the window seat.  I was experimenting with the super macro setting on my camera.  She became so curious, she stuck her nose into the lens, creating this unforgettable photo.

She's a Mountain Lion

Here is Toez the Polydactyl Cat in her Mountain Lion mood.  The insanity hits her every morning and every evening.  When she is in mountain lion mode, no one is safe.

She lurks upon the counter chair intent upon catching an arm or hand in passing.  She leaps over the firewood beside the wood stove, looking for spiders. She springs onto my shoulder to tickle the side of my face with her whiskers. She runs in front of our feet as we are walking.  Then she gallops through the upstairs rooms and down the stairs and back again.  She is large and heavy enough she sounds exactly like a miniature horse!

This picture made me laugh.  I hope it makes you grin, too.

Have a lovely day!

Toez Goez Nutz

It has been eight months since Toez the Polydactyl Kitten came to live in our home.  What an unusual cat.  Our days are filled with laughter at her antics.

Just yesterday Toez the Polydactyl Cat dashed madly from across the room--leaped up onto my lap, biffed my nose, sprang down to sit calmly beside the woodstove washing her paws.

I said, "What was THAT all about?"

She looked at me with a snooty brow and seemed to say, "Whaaaat ARE you talking about?" Then with queenly mein, she stalked gracefully from the room on her fat mitten toes.

Such is life with our funny furry friend.

In a Cat's Eye - Weekend Reflections

This is our precious Toez.  Toezterz the Polydactyl Cat is six months old and full of the dickens.  If you enlarge the picture--look closely--you can see a reflection of my fingers!  It looks like my hands are holding the iris of her eyes.

We are SO thankful for this little companion.  She has filled our home and hearts with laughter and joy.

Toez Has a Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

I was SO happy to discover this permanent little heart on Princess Twinkle Toez the Polydactyl Kitten's paws.  She is the most delightful cat in the world.  Her antics fill our home with laughter.  My husband has taken to calling her "Camo Kitty," because her coloring mimics his camo pants.

Big Foot - Guest Heart Thursday

This is a picture of Princess Twinkle Toez--from her foot bottoms.  As you can see, she has  unusual feet.  They look especially funny because the larger toe is on the outside of her foot instead of the inside--so it looks like her legs have her feet on wrong.

Here's a close up of her back foot.  Can you find the heart?  Because of her unusual toes, she likes to catch things out of the air like she's wearing a catcher's mitt.  She also sits back on her haunches, balancing on those large feet like a tiny squirrel!

Such a darling little kitty!

Kitten Sly Eye

To all of you who visit this blog, I apologize for being away so long.  My computer had a faulty power supply, which caused the motherboard to fail.  I just received my newly refurbished computer back on Monday.  It is so GREAT to be back.

Two weeks ago, I brought Princess Twinkle Toez home. This darling 3-month old kitten spotted me first, stretching up onto her hind legs to place her unusually shaped feet against the cage.  Then she sat quietly waiting for me to pick her up.  It was love at first sight.

The ladies at the shelter put her into taped box for the ride home--but that didn't last long.  She was VERY unhappy about being closed up in that box.  She put up such a fuss that after a few miles, I pulled over.  I tucked her into the bodice of my dress, where she stayed hidden under my hair, contentedly purring the entire 45-minute ride home.  My husband took one look at her and was quickly bowled over by this tiny whimsical feline.  She instantly knew how to wrap his heart around her little six-toed paw.

Toez constantly delights us with her quirky personality and funny ways.  Along with those funny feet, she has golden eyes and unusual tortoise shell markings in her fur.  I am sure you will be seeing many more pictures over the years to come.
