In the Ancient Forests

In the ancient forests, beneath the magic of olden trees, where the moss hangs green.

One can find a door to where the wee folk dwell...

The place where the Elves tend white lichen lace for the Faery Queen.

Have a beautiful whimsical day, dear Friends!

Faeries in the Rhododendrons - Guest Heart Thursday

I was out planting the tomatoes, when the sun came out.  What a beautiful day--we have had so little sun this spring, I stayed out to soak in a few rays.  While I was at it, I was taking some photos of the flowers in the front yard.  Do you believe in faeries?  (grin)  Well here's proof they exist.  They were flitting around in the rhodies!

They threw faery dust at my camera...

And plopped a sunny heart on a Rhodie leaf...just perfect for Guest Heart Thursday!

I believe in faeries, I do, I DO!

Have a perfectly lovely wonderful day.

Fairytale Condo

On one of our long walks through the forests of our childhood, Clytie and I found this amazing conch growing on the side of a huge stump. I love these kind of conches. If removed from the stump, they will dry exactly as you see here and last for years.

This one made me think of a fairy condo--I think it must be--it is exactly how I imagine a fairy house to look. Which is why (ahem) I did not remove it from its growing place to take it home!

Merry Christmas! There is so much for which to be thankful.
