Fire Heart of Balloon - Guest Heart Thursday

Last Wednesday I realized a life-time dream of flying in a hot air balloon.  It was everything I dreamed and more.  How wonderful to have caught a heart right at the edges of the flame as it warmed the air inside the balloon.

I felt curiously at home in the air.  It was as though I was meant to float among the clouds.  It is a trip I'll never forget.

Heart of Flame

This photo is for my sister Clytie--Queen of Hearts! My husband and I were enjoying a quiet evening together, snuggling on the sofa watching the lights of the Christmas tree and the play of the firelight upon the bricks. Suddenly I saw a glowing red heart in the flames. To my husband's astonishment, I leaped to my feet, grabbed my camera, pulled the screen door from the woodstove and started clicking away.

Poor fellow, he's getting used to my odd behavior when it comes to sudden-impulse-camera-shutter-clicking!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Flaming Hilltop

My Husband and I traveled to a nearby beach to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. The first night it stormed, the fierce force of the wind bending the window glass inward.

But the next three days were balmy--a warm sunny hug over the ocean waves. Thursday night we were treated to this amazing spectacle of a sunset--truly the hills were aflame with passion and beauty.
