Summer Twins

I took these pictures last summer. These lovely twins are so bright and beautiful. On this dreary grey day my eyes tingled as I looked at this photo. I think I need some sun and I have cabin fever.
.
We could all do with a little good weather right now! Though I'm sure it isn't different than any other year, for some reason this winter has been the longest , darkest and dreariest I can remember. I am pining for Spring.

I love sunflowers they are so bright and cheery and they remind me of summer and Clytie. If they weren't so buggie...when I bring them in the house I suddenly have the little critters crawling all over. LOL
Thanks for giving me hope for summer. Love you.

We know the winters gone on long enough when we search out all the summer reminders we can find. You are not alone, here in our neck of the woods we are facing another big winter blast this week and I am so not ready. Oh well, your pretty sunflowers made me smile. Thanks for that.

Although so far we've had a pretty easy winter here in northern NY, I am also ready for spring. Hang in there, it WILL happen eventually!

I love sunflowers as well! Has to do with my name ...

Thank you for this summery reminder. I am tired of wet and cold and dreary as well, though today is foggy with a promise of a little sunshine later.

I am also tired of my feet being cold.

And here I am, wishing my life away! Sigh.

Beautiful pic. I too am ready for spring, the snow clouds have moved in today. It will be nice when the sun starts kissing the earth and new life will spring up.

But, what we have now is very nice, you sharing beautiful pictures preparing us for spring :)

It has been a typical winter here except that I am not supposed to go outside. That makes it seem almost evil.

I am still coughing too but in spurts. Here for a spell. I take some more codeine medicine the doctor gave me and it goes away for several hours. I am hoping for a cure of some kind. lol

I grew sunflowers last summer. Had some unusual colors -- from bronze to red and all tones in between. They are a beautiful flower and a good one to have around for wildlife.

Very pretty! We have had a colder than normal winter here too, but today it is sunny and warm and I didn't even mind going outside when the fire alarm went off this morning. I think it was a false alarm--either that or some college student had a test they didn't study for!
