Going on a Heart Hunt...Again - Guest Heart Thursday

On our  heart hunt we met Otis, a very friendly pup who thought it was great fun to lick faces.  There are several hearts in this picture, my little niece found them--can you?

Here you see a heart made of white lilacs.  We decided though lilacs are edible--that they needed some additional seasoning--maybe a bit of brown sugar.

Then it was time to swing bunny...

Which leads us to the BEST heart of all--a sunshine heart!  She had gotten onto the swing herself, bunny ear in hand--when gravel suddenly spat every which direction as she dug her toes to a stop.  Bunny flew to the side as, excitedly pointing at the rocky ground, she exclaimed, "There, THERE!  There's a heart for my Auntie Honey!"

She says this one is special.  It is for her Auntie Honey's happy birthday--since, of course it was Clytie's birthday this week!  "'Caus, I'm her Honey Heart," she adds, with a nod and a grin.

Thank you for joining us on our heart hunt.  We'll see you again next week!

Weathered - Weekend Reflections

This weathered old door is located downtown Independence, Oregon--also known as the official end of the Oregon trail.  Ah, the stories this place could tell.  The town's beautiful park is reflected in the wavy glass.  The historic area of downtown Independence, along with its fine restaurants, theater and beautiful parks, is a wonderful place to visit.
