The Mobster - Weekend Reflections

The look on this plucky fellow's face clearly says he's a troublemaker!  He could be an itty bitty birdie Mob boss!   He'd look wonderful with a little black top hat!  I love the humor I think see in this tough old fellow's face and the way the light reflects rainbow colors from his feathers is beautiful.

He is and they are a pretty bird with a bad reputation because they came from Europe. A place they dearly loved and they didn't want to leave but here they are and they are so successful that they are now in all the states, but don't know if they made it to Hawaii yet.

The pencils.
The brand name is Wolff's Carbon Pencil and they start at B and go through 6B. I find them at Dick Blicks and Artarama for $2.25 each. I forgot to look up paper stumps. You would need them as well.

We used to get huge flocks of Grackles where I used to live. Their iridescent feathers are so pretty.
This is a great shot, Beth :)

they are lovely, beth, even if they are a nuisance!! i have thrown large whole loaves of bread outside which were freezer burnt, believing that the birds in the yard could eat on it for sometime...but it's obvious that doesn't happen if you are a starling! they will attack it like crazy, each one trying to fly away with it! it's mad fun to watch even tho i didn't do it on purpose!

Great photo. They can be a nuisance but really colorful when the sunlight is shining their feathers..

The reflections from his feathers are indeed extraordinary!

And he does seem to have an attitude, doesn't he?

Yes, he is definitely up to something!
