Green and Gold - shadow Shot Sunday

I went for a walk one sunny Autumn evening.  I chanced to look up into a sun dappled maple tree.  What I saw took my breath away and filled my eyes.  Tangy greens and shiny golds tangled in sun and shadow to make a feast for the eyes.

Is it that far along towards Fall out there so that the leaves are turning yellow, or is this just two different trees with natural leaf color that is different? I suspect the latter but then I am not really sure.

Tornado Watch is over back here. It is actually cold and not humid after this front passed through.

Beth, with my garden just starting to get back into "shape" you reminded me that in a few months all is gone again. Sigh... we had a too long and too cool Spring to not enjoy each sticky hot day of Summer. And sticky it is today - I want to live under the shower :-))
June 12th is "the day", BTW - and I run frantically to and fro hoping to get all stuff on "the list" done in time...
