Cloudy Angel

Sunday, on our way home from Carson, Washington State, we stopped in Stevenson at my favorite park.  It is where one can cross an oaken bridge to a little meadow.  From there, stone hewn steps lead to a small lagoon where the beach is strewn with blue rocks.  I once met a dragon there.  (grin)  It is a magical place.

I wasn't a bit surprised to see this cloudy angel waving at me from across the river!

Have a beautiful day!

Riding the Back of a Dragon

I once found an oaken bridge over a bubbling brook, which led me to a magical place. There was a meadow starred with white flowers in a carpet of soft green moss. There was music weaving a tune through the trees.

Then I stepped down hewn stone stairs to a small lagoon, where I stood upon a beach of blue stones.

The guardian of this wonderful place was a fierce dragon.  I approached him softly, laid my hand on his fearsome cheek and sang a song of Springtime.

Then he gave me a ride on his warm brown back--and we swooped with the eagles, along the shores of blue stone, as the skies reflected the mountains in the still cold waters.

Columbia Gorge Sunset

Last Spring, while visiting Oregon's Great Columbia Gorge, I took a photo of this wondrous Sunset.

I am excited to announce a new blog by my brother, Mark, who is a photo journalist for a newspaper in the Columbia Gorge. His photography is magnificent and his writing is stirring. I think you will enjoy visiting. Would you all pop on over and take a look? It would be a great encouragement to him.
