Beautiful Angel Clouds

August is the best time of the year for amazing clouds!  It has been a long hot summer, but I've enjoyed this summer more than I have in years.  I love the sunshine, long days and the hot weather.

There was a time when Fall and Winter were my favorite times of year.  Back then I could cozy up to my husband in front of a beautiful crackling fire.  Today it is my cat and me!  I'm not looking forward to the shorter, darker days of winter.

In the meantime, I can look at the clouds--they are so beautiful.  These clouds look like angels to me.  What do you think?

Sky Angels -Skywatch Friday

I was so blessed to see this beautiful cloud angel bending to earth.  I caught this one over the fence outside my kitchen door.  It was still summer and I could still hear the crickets.

"This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and Rescues them. Oh taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!…"  Psalm 34:6-8

It has been awhile since I have joined in with Skywatch Friday--it is nice to be back.  Have a lovely weekend dear Friends.

Ethereal Visitor

This is a photo I took one early morning at the Shulke Farm Conference.  Though I've seen sun reflections before, this one was astonishing.

Absolutely beautiful...

Cloudy Angel

Sunday, on our way home from Carson, Washington State, we stopped in Stevenson at my favorite park.  It is where one can cross an oaken bridge to a little meadow.  From there, stone hewn steps lead to a small lagoon where the beach is strewn with blue rocks.  I once met a dragon there.  (grin)  It is a magical place.

I wasn't a bit surprised to see this cloudy angel waving at me from across the river!

Have a beautiful day!

Forest Angel

Sissy and I were heading back home after a wonderful walk through The Abandoned and the surrounding forests.  As we walked, I had the strangest feeling I should take some pictures just off the road--a place where we played as children.  We called it Leprechaun Valley.  There was a faery-like meadow filled with fern, Trilliums, May flowers and the perky little Johnny Jump ups.

I knew I'd caught a glimmer of something in the photograph I took of the meadow.  I showed the picture to Clytie, thinking it did look a little odd.  She agreed.

When I looked at this picture on my computer, to my astonishment I found my Forest Angel.  Can you see her there, dancing next to the moss covered snag?

Above you see a closeup--doesn't this look like a beautiful little angel with a halo?

Most unexpected!

Angels Overhead

Late last summer, when Dad and Mom were still living with us while Dad recovered from his injuries, I went for an evening stroll and caught this angel cloud floating over the trees. She was beautiful and unexpected, to be sure.
.
Have a wonderful week and Merry Christmas!

Touching the Light

This is a photo I took last Fall of a cloud touching the sun. This morning, as I perused my myriad collection of photos, this one seemed to fit the day best.

My heart is full of hope for the future. Sometimes one's hope can be renewed by looking back upon the blessings of one's life. I am surely doing that today, with GREAT thankfulness.

Be sure to drop by Clytie's blogs this morning--she has two wonderful entries you all need to read. Thank you everyone for your warmth, thoughts and prayers for my darling sister. YOU are an integral part of this miracle.

May God bless you all--and a very Merry Christmas to you!

Angel Gaze

Yesterday afternoon Mom and I were on our way back from picking up her new glasses, when we stopped for a few things at the grocery store. What a surprise to see an angel cloud gazing at us over the treetops! If you look at the trees, you can see the angel must have dropped some gold pieces into the leaves!

Skywatch

There's no doubt about the incredible clouds filling the skies these days. I've never seen anything like them. I am sure this must be another of God's angels watching over us.
.

Daddy Update: Dad made a breakthrough this morning! He actually got up and made coffee this morning. He was able to go outside with his walker yesterday afternoon--he even walked a few paces with his cane. Dad is healing faster than anyone could predict. Thanks to the prayers of people everywhere, I believe we are watching a miracle unfold! Thank you! Keep praying--Dad sees the neck doctors the first of September!

Angel Singer

The clouds have been spectacular so far today--here I found an angel singing praises in blue skies bathed with morning sunshine.
.
Daddy Update: Dad is doing very well. Please pray for his neck and head wounds to heal more quickly than any doctor's prediction.

A Cloud Angel for Clytie

I was on the phone this morning, talking with my sister Clytie. I was describing the cloud angels I was seeing in the skies--and the rainbow in the high clouds above the sun. I did catch the rainbow--but I also clicked this photo of an angel. Do you see her?
.
Not much after that, she flew over to Clytie's house to make an appearance there.
.
.
Daddy Update: Dad's cousin Fred came to visit Dad. Dad seems so much better for the visit. He is perky and told me he's getting really bored sitting in bed all day long! A GOOD sign!

Golden

Last night, on my way home, I was stunned by the unbelievable beauty of an angel-shaped burst of glory blazing through pressed gold leaf clouds. I pulled over and took this picture. This photo is only a taste of the glory I saw.

Daddy Update: I stayed until dark last night, and Dad seemed to be doing a lot better. I'm so glad it will not be as hot today--with that collar he must wear to stabilize his neck, the heat was really bothering him. Thank you so much for your prayers!

A Man with PLATES on His Head?

I've caught the Independence Angel with my camera more than once, and usually he's up to mischief. He chases eagles, kisses cats, and hugs the sun when he can.

I am sure this is our Independence Angel up to his old tricks! Yipes! Here in this untouched photo, he seems to be balancing a cloudy stack of plates on his head! What do you think?

Little Angel

Who says there is no such thing as angels?! Here's proof! (grin) Last Halloween my husband and I visited Santa Clara, where the entire town dresses up to give candy out to the little ones. But it isn't just the children who come in costume, their parents, do too!

I just happened to catch this small angel pleading with passers by, and could not resist snapping this photo.
