The Light Shall Break Forth

I have not forgotten you, nor have all the people who are praying for you.  You are loved and the burden to pray has been heavy this week.  Here is the promise God sends for today, dear ones.

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, 

And your healing will quickly appear; 

Then your righteousness will go before you, 

And the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.  

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; 

You will cry for help, 

And he will say: Here am I.   

~Isaiah 58: 8, 9

He is Able--and worthy of our total trust.  Do not despair.  He is walking with you every step of each day.  When you cry for help, He will say, "Here I am."  ((hugs)) You are His beloved.

Spring has arrived here--though it is cold and snowing in most of my country.  The daffodils are springing forth with shouts of color, the fruit trees are robed in pink and white, like brides and their bridesmaids.  I heard a robin singing today, and so many other spring bird songs.  

May God bless you, dear ones.  You are in my prayers.   

Daffy Down Dilly Greetings

These lovely daffodils look astonished to be out so soon.  Our unseasonably warm weather has brought them springing from the earth in all their happy splendor. 

I have been watching the news and my heart is filled with an urgency to pray.  This Psalm of David from the Old Testament of the Bible is for you this morning. 

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
And under his wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
Nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand,
But it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
And see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
And you make the Most High your dwelling,
No harm will overtake you,
No disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
To guard you in all your ways;
They will lift you up in their hands,
So that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
You will trample the great lion and the serpent.

I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;

Take heart, Beloved  Friends, you are not alone.  God is with you, as are our prayers. Call upon Him and He will answer.  He will not fail you. 

Random Challenge - Flowers!

We've decided to take a walk each day for our health's sake, whenever possible.  This morning was lovely with rare sunshine glinting through the tulip tree blossoms.

The dew was still fresh on the daffodils smiling from the edge of the sidewalk.

I have not seen this blue of a sky in what feels like forever!  Even we Oregonians, during this record-breaking rainy month of March, have grown tired of our gray skies.  This blue just fills my eyes.

Then more daffodils starring the gardens along the sidewalk--what a lovely sight to see!

Daffy Down Dilly Springtime - Weekend Reflections

Spring has arrived early this time around.  A few weeks ago, I took this picture when we were threatened with some light snow and freezing temperatures.  The snow did sprinkle the ground and the dew froze.  Here you see our garden's Springtime Daffy Down Dillies resplendent in gorgeous frozen dewdrop earrings.  It didn't hurt these miniature daffodils one bit--they're in full bloom now.  What a spot of bright color they make on this gray, gray day.

Daffy Down Dilly Heart - Guest Heart Thursday

Spring is early in the Willamette Valley.  Flowers are popping up everywhere!   I especially love the cheery yellow blooms of daffodils.  They brighten my day, and fill my eyes.

Springtime Herald

The sun came out yesterday bringing forth the flowers and me with my camera. What better herald of spring than this miniature daffodil smiling shyly through the morning dewdrops! I think she has a boyfriend--notice she coyly hugs the stem of the budding flower next to her.

There will be more of them soon--we are to have three days of sunshine in the mid-60's. Amazing. But enjoyable...though I would have loved to have seen a little winter snow before the cold season ends.

Daffy Down Dillies

Out for a walk yesterday, I came upon this trio of curous daffodils. I wondered what had caught their attention, and noticed a very fat cat lying on the sidewalk within their sight. Perhaps they'd never seen a cat before? Or maybe it was my boot-clad foot. One just never knows. (grin)
