Lily Pond Reflections

This is a picture I took last summer. My small backyard pond is one of the delights of my soul. I've always dreamed of having one there. There is something so restful, so peaceful when one sits next to a pond, where the goldfish slowly swim beneath reflection of flower, tree and sky.

Very subtle reflection. Nicely muted. I do like how the weed is encroaching the liley in an almost protective way.

We inherited two small ponds when we bought our current home a couple of years ago. I love knowing the fish are there and hearing the frogs when I sit on the front porch.
Lovely flower reflection!

We have had several ponds. I like the stuff floating on the surface in this photo and I think it is a kind of water weed, isn't it?

Anyway, we had big ones and small ones, modern ones and ancient ones and they are all gone now. We did have a plastic whiskey barrel half with a tiny water pump that made a noise and caused me to want to pee all the time.

I have the perfect spot for a small pond. You are giving me something to think about for sure. I could see it from my deck. Time for a trip to Lowes to price what I need to do it!
