To our great sadness we decided to take Buttercup back to the shelter. After a month, she was still too afraid and would not bond with us. She spent most of her time under our bed, or crammed into as tiny a corner as she could find behind our furniture.
We were about to leave when we spied a tiny furred face pressed against the bars of her cage. It took only a moment to know THIS five-month old kitten was meant to come home with us.
Her formal name is Audi, but we call her Bootsie, KittyBootz, and KittenKins. Yesterday she had a wonderful time following me around the house, watching what I was doing with intense interest. We have found a darling little friend who fills our house with smiles and fun!

Uh oh, looks like you got hit with the dreaded oriental porn spam! These guys make me sick. Arrrrgh.
Your new little kitty looks a lot like Victoria's Jae Jae. Right down to the white chin!
I'm sorry about Buttercup but I am so glad you found a friend who wanted to love you back. She's cutiepie too. Have funwith your KittyKins. Love you.
That is one beautiful picture. I am learning to like cats a lot and getting past everything must be a dog if it is my pet in my house, syndrome, makes me look at other cats and kittens with enthusiasm. This must be a beauty. Sure takes nice pictures.
What a lovable furry face ! Congrats on having this tiny fluffy friend home now ( and following you with a "high up curled" tail...)
kind regards, Martina
Awww...she's so sweet! I'm glad the story had a happy ending for the kitty. I once had a cat that took the longest time to bond and come out of his shell. I was worried he would never feel comfortable with me and would spend the rest of his life hiding in corners. Then all of a sudden one day everything changed and he became a big smoochy cuddly cat! I was so happy! I figure some cats just need extra time to adapt. Give your cat a big cuddle from me. Only when she's ready of course :)
Sounds like you and your new KittyKins are the perfect fit! I believe Buttercup needed a safe place to stay while she waited for "her" people, and she led you to this little cutie-pie! :) She is adorable and it looks like she is already settled in!
That's an overdoes of cute.
How sad that the first kitty was not a good fit. It's so depressing to think of all the unwanted animals out there. :(
I'm glad you found another kitty though. And even gladder that she was also a shelter kitty. :)
I'm very glad the first kitty found another home. I'm sure a small apartment would be a good place for a shy kitty. :)
What a precious little kitty. Wonderful picture :)
