Bridal Flowering - Pink Saturday

It is sunny today--the plum tree blossoms thickly cover the trees along our street.  Such lovely pink booms--they remind me of a bevy of brides, joyfully dancing along the sidewalk.

Pink Triangle in the Sky

Saturday night we were treated to a beautiful Sunset!  I clicked away to my heart's content--almost 200 photos!  Then I saw the Triangle in the sky.  And it's pink.  I couldn't believe my eyes!  Isn't that just the strangest thing?

Here's a closeup of the triangle cloud.  I have never seen anything quite like this before!  And it's pink!

Dad's Lily

I was visiting my parents a few days ago, and caught sight of this beautiful pink lily in Dad's pond.  I have yet to see one lily bloom in my pond this year--so to see this one was a real treat!

DADDY UPDATE:  Dad's left side is still weak from an episode (they really don't know what happened) last Sunday.  He still is weak, but has graduated from using a walker, barely getting around, to using a cane.  I am so grateful to see him up and about.  Please pray for his continued recovery.

Spring has Sprung

I found these lovelies flooding the parking lot with their pink opulence! They filled my eyes with such lush color I took their picture.

Indeed--Spring is here to stay!

Think Pink!

It has been raining "cats and dogs" over the past few days. The deluge has filled our back yard with enough water the fish pond is overflowing! Though I am grateful for the rain, it has a way of, er, damping my spirits.

I was looking through the pictures I took on our walk last week--Sissy and I have so much fun taking pictures together over at the abandonded mega-church and in the forest--and I found this photo.

These amazing pink blossoms stretching up into the blue, blue sky are growing out of a confused rubble of glass and debris. Isn't it wonderful to know beauty can grow in the midst of such destruction? There is always hope. Think Pink!

Pink and Gold

Last April I caught the golden light of sunset bathing these pink beauties before darkness fell. This is one of the lovely tulip trees gracing our streets. They are such fascinating trees. Their exotic blooms never fail to amaze and fill my eyes with their beauty.

I am so looking forward to warm weather and Springtime flowers.

PINK Skies!

These pictures were taken in late Fall of last year. I was just astounded at the colors of this sunset--I ran around the block in my bare feet to catch colors of purple and pink as the sinking sun threw them against the clouds. The first photo is further up the horizon. The second photo was nearer to where the sun had just gone down.
.
I'm sure passing motorists must have thought the barefoot lady with the camera excitedly clicking pictures of the evening sky was nuts!

Vivid

This morning is grey and dark. The weather reflects the state of my spirit at this moment. So I chose this gorgeous, vivid flower for today's post. The colors of this picture fill my eyes. I don't know what it is about brilliant color and flamboyant composition, but somehow when my eyes behold a photo containing both, my heart is better for it.

Pink Elegance

My husband and I drove from the coast home today. On our way home we stopped at the Baskett Slough. The clouds were just extraordinary. This is only one sample of the wonderful glories of tonight's skies.

Splendid Pink

This photo was taken right outside my back door. I was astonished at the splendid, exquisite explosion of color in the darkening skies.
