Quite unexpectedly, my youngest daughter came running downstairs just now, to press something small into my fingers. She grinned and said, "I thought you'd like this one, Mom!" When I saw what it was I smiled, and felt honored.

And so, I dedicate this unusual gourmet heart to all those marvelous Daughters, Sisters, Moms, and Friends who bring such unexpected joy into our lives.
