Opal Skies

It is to be another rainy day. But when I stepped outside this morning, a fragile beauty transformed the skies with shifting colors, which reminded me of the illusive glow of an opal.

These Opal Skies quite took my breath away.

This isn't related to your post and it's not spam, but I saw a comment you made on Heidi's post at Foxglove, Fabric & Folly about our losing some freedom. If it makes you feel any better, about the time we got our census form, we received a letter telling me that Ipsos Mendelsohn was sending me $10 for me to complete a survey. It asks personal ?'s like what kind of makeup I use, appliances we have, income, etc. and swears to keep the info. confidential. It's over 20 pages. Now they are harassing me to complete it and said if I can't, then my spouse should. So, don't feel alone. I believe the gov't is behind mine too. What I don't understand is why they don't take the info. from the IRS since they're all gov't. UGH!!!

You are right, there is something opal about the scene. Beautiful sky ... beautifully captured. When I see photographs like this I ask myself why don't I spend more time taking pictures of the sky - so often it is as glorious as the earth under it.
